Diabetes manifests in different people in different ways. Some symptoms make diagnosis easy while others not so much. Infections, skin, colds, sores, flu symptoms, above the normal seasonal ones, those with diabetes will experience more of them. If you notice you always have to rush to the bathroom–even if you aren’t eating or drinking much–you should consult your physician about having your potassium and bladder functions checked out. It is quite possible that during these tests your doctor will discover your diabetes. One person may show different symptoms of diabetes than the next. Because of the different types of diabetes, it will affect everyone differently. Some people have no symptoms at all and the disease is only discovered when the person is tested for something else. Others suffer through all of the symptoms and are misdiagnosed a few times before the doctor gets it right.
